Three-Layer Brownies. These cake-like brownies were a big hit with the family. The recipe made a 9x13 pan so there is some for now and some for later (we froze half). Email me if you want the recipe, it is on a scrap of paper from 1991.
On a lighter note, I also made these healthy wheat germ muffins. I didn't have dried cherries so I used cranberries which worked just fine. Jacob declared that they were the best muffins ever. Here is the link to the recipe.
While shopping at Macy's Jacob's Croc got caught in the escalator. He got off the escalator but the shoe didn't. Michael managed to yank it out but Jacob was devastated by the damage. Crocs are his favorite shoes and they no longer make Mickey Mouse versions. Jacob was pretty upset the rest of the day but shopping for new versions seemed to elevate the pain. 
Checking-in on a Wednesday has its advantages. We were upgraded to the 59th floor with a view of Las Vegas Blvd. It was a really impressive view.
Daytime views were just as impressive.

Our night on the town. We dined at The Country Club for dinner then saw Le Reve by Franco Dragone of Cirque du Soleil fame.
