I am lucky that Jacob loves to cook and bake. Today's baking was chocolate marshmallow cookies. It was the stuffing of frozen marshmallows in the cookie dough that was the messy part. I made 12 normal size cookies per pan and Jacob made 9 giant size cookies per pan. If I could sell Jacob's cookies by weight I would make a fortune.

Can I clean the tables Mom?

So, in Jacob's mind if it involves a spray bottle it does not consist of work. He has been a cleaning machine lately. Any counter top that can be cleaned with a spray bottle has been cleaned lately and not just once but twice. Jacob's method of cleaning includes spraying water first, then paper towel drying and then spraying Windex and paper towel drying. I realize it is not environmentally friendly with the amount of paper towels Jacob uses but I have a busy kid and clean tables which makes Mommy happy:)
100th Day of School

So who knew that counting to 100 makes a school holiday. Every morning Jacob's kindergarten class count the number of days they have been in school. When they got to 100 it was time for a party. When I picked up Jacob at the end of the day, I saw all the kindergarten classes wearing the same hats. It was quite a scene. Luckily Jacob posed for me and included his Fruit Loops necklace which also has a 100 pieces (well not any more). A note home from the teacher to happily stated that there are only 80 days left of school. Do I have to worry about summer already?

Griffith Observatory
Part two of our adventure day included the Griffith Observatory. Jacob enjoyed it but there were not enough buttons to push for his taste. I think he was still a little young for the full experience. Michael and I enjoyed all the new renovations. It is well worth the trip if you have not been yet. We also enjoyed the new cafe which sells Wolfgang Puck food.
A Faery Hunt
We embarked on a little adventure this Valentine's Day by heading to Griffith park. First we attended a little performance by a group of actors called "A Faery Hunt". Jacob was unaware of his status as the only "prince" in attendance. If you want to see a little of what we did here is a video link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq_ynaaUqL8 Everyone had a Faery good time, parents included.

School Valentine's Party

Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that seem to increase in importance when the kids enter school. Making Valentines turned into a writing assignment and delivering them turned into a reading assignment. The classroom party was amazingly calm considering the amount of sugar present. As you can see the kids enjoyed their cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries.
