Banana Split Ice Cream Cake
From Family Fun Magazine, this recipe was a crowd pleaser. I made a half recipe in an 8 inch square pan which worked just fine. I omitted the nuts, used dark chocolate chips and used real whipped cream for the topping. I also omitted the crumbs on top. Getting the frozen treat out intact is tricky too but you can let it thaw a little or I used a hot knife. This is a make ahead dessert as it needs to freeze for several hours but well worth the wait.
