Welcome to Summer

Welcome summer hot and dry

you warm me feeling nice and hot

you fill my body with joy from warmth

and as I stand their softly pacing

I feel the warm water calmly flowing

And to this day summer shall always be

The summer I know so well

As I say the waves are crashing at my feet

Flowers swaying in the wind

And then summer always brings happiness

to us all

Pictures From Science Camp

Jacob survived science camp and he had a good time!

Jacob's best photography came from things that don't move.

Jacob's best picture of a peacock.

The kids got to experience a camp fire.  Marshmallows were roasted and 'smores were made.

The inside of the cafeteria.  Jacob said the food was good.  He had hot chocolate for breakfast everyday.

The outside of the cafeteria.

Jacob tells us this is natural toilet paper.

One of his more artistic pictures.

The kids designed this tent and assembled it from sticks that were provided to them.  All in all it was a great experience for him and he had a good time.

Science Camp

I sent Jacob off to 4th grade science camp on Wednesday.  Once the kids were all together at school they were super excited.  Jacob took his camera so I am hoping to share some of his pictures.  Michael and I have been so busy that we haven't had a chance to miss him on our trip to Morongo:)

Lego Mindstorm Battle of the Brains

Jacob and two of his classmates built a forklift with Lego Mindstorms.

The kids had a specified amount of time to make their creation.

This is the forklift that went into battle.

Lego Robotics Part 2

Latest battle of the brains.  Jacob seems to be enjoying the class.

LEGO ROBOTICS - BATTLE OF THE BRAINS

I enrolled Jacob in an after school program that builds Lego robots from the Lego Mindstrom series.  Jacob and his best friend built this robot last week.  In March the class gets to compete with other schools in a Lego Robotics battle.  I hope to take more photos and some video too.
