Mother's Day Gifts

I received some very nice gifts from Jacob this year.

Hand prints with a poem.

Expression of Love

Coupons for help with laundry and dishes.

And I got a good laugh that Jacob thought I was 96 years old and weighed 253 pounds.

Happy Mother's Day to me.

Happy Mother's Day

A big thank you to all the moms in my life. A journey I have enjoyed taking with you all.

Deb who introduced me to Michael, juggles 3 and gives me insight to the shenanigans of boys.

My two blondies. A snap shot in time I will always remember.

My fabulous mother-in-law.

Who has helped take care of Jacob since he was born.

Sisterly love and advice.

Thea who has mothered me since I was born.

Friend and neighbor who has helped me through many a crisis.

Moms club friends. Couldn't have survived the first years without them.

A friendship since high school that I cherish. Her balancing act of 3 inspires me.

A Little Snow in Spring

We took a little vacation to Palm Springs and one of our adventures was the Aerial Tramway to Mt. San Jacinto State Park. Jacob immediately found a stick to play with.

And to Dig with.

Jacob said I should blog about his digging and call it "my little digger".

Jacob's photography.

Jacob's next digging assignment, uncover these benches.

He spent an hour on this project.

And even got Mom in on the project (Dad too).

Michael's artistry.

It was a great day and no surprise that Jacob wants to go back again next year.

Lost Tooth

Jacob finally lost his first tooth, he even saved it in a zip top bag. He has been anxiously waiting for a loose tooth since most of his classmates have lost one. So what is the going rate of a lost tooth these days?

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It was 86 degrees in Venice yesterday so I treated Jacob to a Shamrock Shake. Who knew green poop would follow for the rest of the day.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Phone Talker

Jacob has been reluctant to talk to anyone on the phone these past 6 years but suddenly he has discovered the phone. His love for electronics, he is obsessed with my Palm Pilot, and his first loose tooth have prompted the change. We are working on phone etiquette. His first call to our neighbor started with "can mommy and I come over?" luckily she figured out who it was. Second phone call started with "who is this?" but then he added "this is Jacob" so we are making progress. Jacob kept his grandparents on the phone for an hour so family and friends beware you could be next on the Jacob phone list.
